Vice-chairs and group Coordinators will collaborate and consult with each other in accordance with WPaSG Guidelines.
Vice-chairs and group Coordinators will give Co-Chairs 30 days notice if they wish to retire from the position.
Vice-chairs and group Coordinators understand that there is a commitment for work time and timely responses.
Vice-chairs and group Coordinators act at all times in the best interest of the Wild Parrot Specialist Group, IUCN, SSC, and parrot research and conservation.
Vice-chairs and group Coordinators will act with positivity and support at all levels of interaction, between and among leadership and core members.
Vice-chairs and group Coordinators agree to directly address individuals with whom conflict or disagreement arises and seek to promote collaborative and compassionate discussion.
Vice-chairs and group Coordinators abide by the WPaSG guidelines and these ground rules.
Vice-chairs and group Coordinators treat all discussions, meetings, documents and other communications with confidentiality and discretion. The safety of the psittacines and people who work with them depend on compliance with this.
Deadlines
Vice-chairs and group Coordinators will work actively on meeting deadlines proposed by the Co-Chairs.
Vice-chairs and group Coordinators will let Co-Chairs know if they cannot meet deadlines and why so that responsibilities can be adjusted and redistributed.●
Vice-chairs and group Coordinators 2.0 version for 2025 will respond to communications in a timely manner.
Consensus
Vice-chairs and group Coordinators will work under consensus with core members, their groups, and the Co-chairs and support each other: no independent actions concerning the WPaSG without consensus.
Vice-chairs and group Coordinators will maintain productive transparency, democracy, equality, equanimity, and consensus within the subgroup.
Representation
Vice-chairs and group Coordinators will not represent the IUCN SSC WPaSG directly, unless agreed by Vice-chairs and group Coordinators or Co-chairs.
If Vice-chairs and group Coordinators see the need for action, they will contact Co-Chairs with a proposal or statement to present to the leadership (the Why), so as a group we can have a consensus from the leadership (Vice-chairs and group
Coordinators and Co-chairs) that this does represent the group as a whole. All this can be done in a short series of emails, or call for a meeting.
Vice-chairs and group Coordinators will cc all leaders (Vice-chairs and group Coordinators and Co-Chairs) on pertinent emails that concern all levels of
eadership/representation.
Vice-chairs and group Coordinators understand that unauthorized use of the WPaSG logo or IUCN, IUCN SSC logos is expressly forbidden.
Communications
Vice-chairs and group Coordinators will meet with Co-chairs monthly.
Vice-chairs and group Coordinators will meet with Co-chairs whenever Co-chairs or Vice-chairs and group Coordinators express the need to meet for a specific topic.
Meetings will take place if there is at least 50% representation among all leaders (Vice-chairs and group Coordinators and Co-Chairs).
Vice-chairs and group Coordinators that can not meet in a specific meeting need to actively review the meeting notes and share comments/suggestions with the rest Vice-chairs and group Coordinators and Co-chairs
